This paper aims to inform the professional public with the current situation on the field of education of children with specific educational needs in Czech music primary arts education. We have chosen qualitative research methods.
We have been obtaining data using interviews, observations and case reports analysis. The outputs point out the clear benefits that children with specific educational needs gain through music.
However, our research has also identified reserves in teacher training and the need to modify the curriculum according to the student's current needs. The obtained results offer inspiration for a wider opening of gates of our music education for children with specific educational needs.
