The presented article examines how the European law regulation target the issue of sustainable production. The most significant means created in order to promote the aim are presented.
First, the issue of ecolabelling is discussed, emphasizing the EU Ecolabel. The reflection of the concept of ecodesign in the European law is analyzed then and its future development is outlined.
Finally, the idea of environmental management is presented with special focus on the EU Eco-Management and Audit Scheme (EMAS).
