A case report of metastatic breast cancer mimicking gastric cancer treated with palbociclib

Abstract

Summary: The case report describes the case of a patient originally diagnosed as advanced T4 gastric cancer with invasion of the intestine, who was treated with preoperative chemotherapy, following surgery, where generalization to the peritoneum was demonstrated, definitive histopathological examination led to a different diagnosis of metastatic lobular carcinoma. Due to the immunoprofile, treatment with a combination of letrozole and palbociclib has been initiated to control the disease.
