Abstract

The book you hold in hands is an extensive monography providing(in more than 900 pages of the text) the comprehensive information about the full range and spectrum of clinical neuropsychiatry. Neuropsychiatry preceded the spliting to the subspecialisations psychiatry and neurology at the end of the 19th century.

Nowadays, both clinicians and neuroscientists are calling again for an integration of both fields. The text was written by a team of highly esteemed, experienced spacialists.

The book is divided into seven parts: general neuropsychopathology, syndromology, diagnostic tools, therapeutical principles, interdisciplinary approach, specifics of childhood and special part containing diagnostic units, which by their nature form the core of neuropsychiatry (organic mental disorders, movement disorders including functional, neurodegenerative disorders, autoimmune diseases of the central nervous system, sleep disorders, depression, anxiety and many others). The scope and layout of the publications are focused to give clinical information in a comprehensible way and uniform structure with many tables, charts, algorithms and neuroradiological images.

The book is intended mainly for neurologists, psychiatrists, neuropsychologists and neuroscientists.
