Abstract

Objective: Use of sinus-Obliquus hybrid stent in the treatment of thrombotic and postthrombotic lesions of pelvic veins and the results of folow-up. Methods: Between 2016 and 2019, we implant ten sinus-Obliquus stents to ten patients - nine into the left common iliac vein and one into the right common iliac vein.

It was the part of the treatment of acutileofemoral thrombosis in four cases and the part of the treatment of chronic venous insufficiency in six cases. Results: All ten stents were successfully implanted in the desired position.

During long-term follow-up (median 269.5 days) there was no significant instent stenosis or instent thrombosis. Conclusion: The sinus-Obliquus hybrid stent is a new type of venous stent designed for the treatment of common iliac veins with no jailing of contra lateral common iliac vein to decrease the risk of vein thrombosis on untreated side with very promising long-term patency.
