Abstract

A two-hour lecture on 24 January 2020 in the auditorium of the Třeboň grammar school. It was organized as part of the lecture series "Humanities and Science Course 2019/2020", section of the humanities course (Guarantor: Václav Pražák), for pupils of the Třeboň grammar school and the grammar school in Soběslav.

Emphasis was placed on the concepts of sect and sectarianism, signs of sect, spectrum of sectarian danger (developed by the author's own metronome in safe / dangerous sects) as a specification of the religious psychology and psychological methods of new religious movements. The following religious movements and groups were mentioned in the Lecture: Jehovah's Witnesses, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Bahá'í faith, Pentecostals and charismatics, Opus Dei, philosophical - religious - destructive criminal satanism, witchcraft.

Emphasis was placed on the lecturer's many years of personal experience in participatory observation in the environment of these movements, approximately since 2006 - whose output was a bachelor's and master's thesis of the lecturer.
