Abstract
This entry is an encyclopaedical summarization of basic information about the institution of The Institutes of Trade Improvement, which operated in the Czech region since the end of the 19th century until the year 1948 as both governmental and non-governmental autonomous associations. Their main purpose was supporting entrepreneurial tradesmen.
