Abstract
The article construes conditions for granting free defence counsel in Czech criminal procedure, including practical questions, wether the court is obliged to investigate the financial situation of accused person, what is the last moment to request free defence counsel, and wether it can be granted afterwards directly by the court of second instance within the decision about complaint against the resolution of court of first instance, that the convicted person is obliged to reimburse the costs paid to the appointed defence counsel.
