Abstract

Interview with Hannah Schling, PhD, Lecturer in Human Geography at Queen Mary University of London, discussing her thesis on labour migration, which is partly based on her fieldwork in the export-oriented manufacturing sector in the Czech Republic. The thesis examines labour migration to the Czech Republic through a social reproduction analysis, and focuses on topics such as the status of seasonal labourers, the role of agencies and intermediary agents, legal status and vulnerability of foreign labourers etc.
