Filip Timingeriu's chapter 'Overcoming Aesthetics through the Silent Calling of the Earth: On Heidegger's Grappling with Metaphysics' places Heidegger's grasping of the work of art into a larger context of the general contemplation of the history of metaphysics. As regards e Origin of the Work of Art, he follows the genesis of its central motifs in the 1930s and their further development, reaching as far as Heidegger's work composed in the 1950s.
