Taking into account the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights in the creation of the Common European Asylum System

Abstract
The article examines the application of the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union in EU legislation, specifically on the example of the creation of the Common European Asylum System. For this purpose, such legislative and legal instruments of the European Union are selected, which went through the legislative process together in the period after the entry into force of the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union.
The influence of respective stages of the legislative process and its actors on the application of such fundamental rights standards as required by the Charter is analyzed on selected examples.
