Eudemian Ethics

Abstract

Eudemian Ethics, together with Nicomachean Ethics and with the Great Ethics (Magna Moralia), is included among Aristotle's ethical writings. Nicomachean Ethics has rightly deserved its place in the history of philosophy and stands out above the other two writings as a younger and more pivotal work.

In our environment, this fact is reflected in the absence of Czech translations of Eudemian Ethics. Nevertheless, this text is an alternative interpretation of the author's doctrine of virtue, character, free will, and happines.
