Abstract

Lecture at the summer school of the International Center for World Development of the Czech Technical University (ICWD CTU). Abstract: The lecture will focus on the relation between anthropology and development cooperation, as well as on the role of technologies in this area.

It will discuss the ways in which social scientists understand development technologies (which aspects and why they find interesting), and what anthropologists have to offer to the technologically oriented specialists. The lecturer will also present the preliminary findings of his ongoing research of the activities of the ICWD CTU.
