Commuting to selected outpatient health services in Czechia from a geodemographic point of view

Publication at Faculty of Science |

Abstract

The place of use of health services is not always the same as the patient's place of permanent residence. The reason may be, for example, the specifics of the requested health service, its real availability, given, for example, the capacity of providers, or the difference between the permanent and usual residence of the patient.

The poster aims to present the basic differences in the use of selected outpatient health services by patients undergoing selected diagnoses, according to the patient's place of permanent residence and the place of use of relevant services, according to age, gender or size category of the municipality. For this purpose, non-anonymized individual data from the database of the largest Czech health insurance company (VZP ČR) for 2019 were used.
