Mosaic Pavement in Monasterial Church in Klášter Hradiště nad Jizerou

Abstract

Gothic mosaic pavement is only seldom found as a part of architectural decoration in medieval monasteries. In cistercian Monastery Klášter Hradiště nad Jizerou was excavated a part of the pavement in situ.

The paper discuss the possibilities of the reconstruction of original design, the dating and similar founds.
