Abstract
This book focuses on the history of the Institute of Art History at the Faculty of Arts, Charles University in Prague. Therefore, it does not cover the history of the whole subject of art history in Bohemia, but only of a single academic institution, though a very important one.
The text covers the period from the mid-19th century, when art history started taking form at the Prague university as an independent subject, till the present day, specifically 2018 when the draft of the book was finished.
