Abstract
The article delas with relationship between memory and tradition as an interesting phenomenon that can be understood from several points of view. The article addresses the idea of collective memory, especially from a sociological and theological point of view, mainly based on European authors.
In the first part the collective memory approach is introduced and in the second part the described approach is applied to the example of the development of tradition in the memory of the Last Supper.
