The contribution is focused on military theorist Johann Jacobi von Wallhausen and his written work. In the introduction there is a short characterization of the early modern military revolution and the approaches of world and Czech historiography to this concept.
Thereafter the author Wallhausen is introduced and his books are characterised. Special focus is given to the dedications of his books.
One of the last chapters deals with military academy, which was directed by Wallhausen. In the end of the paper there is a list of Wallhausen's books published before 1650.
