Charakter kurzu: uměleckohistorické cvičení. Popis kurzu, stanovený dr. Šimkovou: The course is specifically designed for foreign students coming to Prague to learn more about Czech art and its historical, political and social context.
However, the aim of the course is not simply to summarize the most important facts, artists and artworks but rather to introduce the students to a selection of interesting moments in the Czech art history with the help of a range of interdisciplinary approaches and new methodological tools. Petra Matějovičová - dvě přednášky: 22. 10. přednáška Jewellery (14th - 18th centuries; jewellery represented in painting, sculpture, illuminated manuscripts etc.; jewellery and light, space, movement; jewellery and senses, etc.) 26. 11. přednáška Jewellery (19th - 21st centuries; illusionistic representation in jewellery; vital forces and jewellery; variable / kinetic jewels; jewellery as an art form - roles played by viewer and wearer; jewellery and human body; performative aspect of jewellery as art x performance art; jewellery as means of communication, etc.)
