The paper deals with the process of normalization in the banking office in the interwar period. In 1922, the Czechoslovak Standards Society (ČSN) was founded.
Its standards also applied to normal office operations and were intended to simplify the administration and technical overhead of companies by standardizing work procedures, account schedules, office furniture, etc. As part of these rationalization changes, a uniform paper format, letter envelopes and communication between authorities, banks and the client.
The paper aims to analyze these normative measures in relation to financial institutions.
