Results of empirical research on the field children-nature contacts and their experiences in nature

Abstract

Literacy (for example Wilke, 1993) says that more children?s experiences in and with nature evoke development of environmental sensitivity. This report presents empirical study.

The main questions were ?Who is the most important person in child possibility to do contact with nature? and ?How we could evaluate the number of contacts?. Author use the same questions like Vostrádovská (Strejčková, 2005) and Meyer (1998) and Wilson (1998).

Statistic compiles 103 pupils (10 300 experiences). Average of pupil?s experiences is 53,2 +- 1.46 (from 100 possible experiences).

Minimum of experiences is 2 and maximum of experiences is 90. Influence of family is very important (parents make 35% experiences, teachers only 6% experiences.
