Abstract
The lecture is devoted to pedagogical-psychological issues related to the adaptation of a child in nursery. In the introductory part, the lecture deals with the developmental characteristics of preschool children and then theoretically and practically focuses on the issue of adaptation of children in the nursery.
The main focus is on Respectful approach in education and psychology of Zdeněk Matějček. The conclusion of the lecture is a practical insight into the functioning of the Montessori nursery and the way in which children adapt to the new environment.
