Abstract
This article deals with taboo words regarding children in Sakha language. Because of the strong influence from Russian some words are replaced with loan words as they are easier to remember and more frequently used.
Taboo words which are considered not to be suitable to be used in public because they are too rude, vulgar or strong, are the most endangered by contact with Russian.
