Systems theories in law

Publication at Faculty of Law |

Abstract

The chapter deals with systems theories in law, that represent a diverse direction of legal thinking. Although it is developed mainly by legal sociologists, in recent decades the forms of system theories have expanded considerably.

At present, therefore, the only line of this approach to law cannot be traced. As for the main contribution of systemic approaches to law, I consider the efforts to defend the autonomy of law, which, although not absolute, reinforces the importance of the legal methodology itself in the interpretation and application of law.
