Hallstatt Period Wagons in Czechia: Practical use, social meaning and symbolism

Abstract

The paper deals with the findings of wagons from the Czech Republic, their chronology, practical use, significance for society and symbolism. It touches on the key topic of elites and wagons with special emphasis on the findings of wagons from Habrůvka - "Býčí skály".

It also discusses the possibility of using riding horses and the topic of prehistoric communications across the Europe.
