Abstract
The third part of the critical edition of the complete correspondence of Karel Havlíček contains all known letters both from and to Havlíček form the years 1845-1847. The core of the volume is made up of the letters form the period when Havlíček became a leading Czech journalist; at the same time he experienced a relationship with his fiancée Františka Weidenhoffrová.
The volume opens with studies analyzing Havlíček's first love and the neginnings of his public activities. The letters are equipped with thorough comments, with detailed editors' notes characterising the individual writers' spelling, with a calendar of Havlíček's life and work, and relevant photographs.
