Abstrakt
In my contribution I will concentrate on the role of the narrative of the Forecasting Institute in the general narrative of late socialism, transformation and 1989 and the reasons why the narrative was shaped in this way. I will analyse the representations and the symbolic meanings of the institute especially in recent decade and show how is the perception of the institute slowly changing and how not only the general public is showing resistant to the change of the way how some media outlets report about it.
