Abstract
The Geographical Olympiad has exceeded its limits. The paper introduces a non-traditional course of the 22nd year of the Geographical Olympiad in Czechia (ZO), which was influenced by the world pandemic of COVID-19 and related emergency measures.
The regional round was held in an online form, the national round used a combined approach, while the fieldwork took place in Jílové u Prahy as usual. The outlook for the next year is also outlined, and in the online appendix, the winning maps of the supplementary competition "The best map on the geographical topic" are presented.
