Abstract

The complete conclusion of the last glacial is associated with a global climate fluctuation called the younger dryas. This roughly 1,200-year period of dramatic environmental change led to the last shuffling of biodiversity cards before the onset of the current interglacial period, the Holocene.

But what caused the onset of the younger dryas?
