Abstrakt
The aim of this study was to point out the importance of the devil, the diabolical element in the development of the human psyche. The devil is a necessary factor for the onset of instinctive life.
The figure of the devil is a grateful object of projections of our own evil representations, which are divided between the bad devil and the good God. This division often serves as a protector of the illusion of paradise, unity and purity.
However, it is not possible to build an adult mature life on such a basis. It is based on the integration of bad and good objects, God and the devil, accepting the evil in us and dealing with the fact that paradise has been lost forever.
