The paper deals with current issues of education towards health in relation to the new curricular reform in the Czech Republic. It includes information concerning the conception of education towards health, its goals in the programs for primary and secondary education and experience of implementing these issues into pre-graduate teacher training at Charles University in Prague - Pedagogical Faculty.
On the basis of the research outcomes, conducted by the Health Education Department, the paper provides an insight into the current educational reality in the field of education towards health, analyses identified probléme and suggests changes to incorporate in the field ?Human and Health? in the school program. In addition, it opens discussion about changes necessary to introduce in approaching teacher training.
