Dividual power. Crisis and contradictions of German foreign policy

Publication at Faculty of Social Sciences |
2020

Abstract

The book offers an analysis of German foreign policy employing the concept of dividual power, defined by Jakub Eberle. Three case studies focus on arms exports, German Russia policy and economic diplomacy.

The authors maintain Germany does not represent a monolithic actor: German policy making is a result of agitation and compromises among different, often mutually excluding foreign policy identities.
