Abstract

Czech and Polish are connected by a common destiny as well as by numerous language means. From the point of view of the language contact, it is important to define border lines of the Czech national language and to decide if its abroad variants (American Czech, etc.) belong also into this complex.

The consequences of the Czech language contact with German and Polish have been analysed. We have found the smallest resistence of Czech in the vocabulary, while the Czech morphology is the most resistant.
