Abstract
The article deals with the revitalization of municipal centres and its aim is to analyze approaches to the revival of centres used in Austrian and Czech municipalities. The article further discusses to what extent these approaches are comparable and whether municipalities on both sides of the border can inspire each other.
Various forms of revitalization of municipal centres can represent ways how to prevent depopulation of municipalities, help their development, improve the quality of life in the countryside and increase the positive identification of citizens with the place where they live.
