Abstract

Having first addressed the theoretical level of the subject, the paper investigates the ethnic community of Yazidis; it describes and analyses humanitarian assistance being provided to the people when they are leaving their home country, when they are on the migration journey and after they reach their destination. To carry out the qualitative research, thp author opted for the technique of interviews.

The participants were Yazidis who moved from Iraq to Germany. In preparing the research, the author relied on her experience of migration, drawing especially on humanitarian aid extended to people on the Balkan route of migration in 2014 to 2016.

Taking advantage of the quantitative research, the author discusses and presents a range of practical recommendations for social and charity work.
