Atopic dermatitis is one of the most common chronic inflammatory non-infectious diseases of the skin in the world and has a significant negative impact on patienťs life. Treatment of moderate to severe atopic dermatitis in clinical practice is often very frustrating not only for the patients but also for the doctors.
The aim of the therapy is to achieve a long remission with minimum side effects and to improve the quality of life. Even though the possibilities of local treatment are extensive, in severe forms of atopic dermatitis systemic treatment including biological treatment is becoming a necessity.
