Abstract
Bishop, diplomat and writer Liutprand of Cremona (ca 920-970) is famous as an author of historical writings Antapodosis or Retibution, Account on Embassy to Constantinople and Deeds of King Oto. All these texts are an important source of knowledge about 10th century history of Italy, Germany, Byzantium and papacy, despite many historical inaccuracies and strong leanings towards pro-ottonian propaganda.
This book is the first translation of these important works in Czech language.
