Abstract
The article describes the student movement in broader context of social, cultural and political changes in the sixties in Czechoslovakia. Comparison with student protest movement abroad.
Emphasis is placed on the student activities in Prague, especially at the Faculty of Philosophy of the Charles University since the mid-sixties.
