Imitation and Innovation on the Czechoslovak Market for Technology

Publication at Faculty of Arts |
2020

Abstract

The conference paper conceptualizes unfair competition on the market for technology of interwar Czechoslovakia, i.e. imitation strategies, as a research topic of economic history and business history. The aim is to define the basic concepts and outline the Neo-Schumpeterian theory of technological regimes as an effective interpretative tool for introducing imitation strategies into the broader context of innovative activities in the business environment.

Special attention is paid to the presentation of research questions and the introduction of sources that an economic historian can apply in the study of this topic.
