Regional identity of pupils and their relationship to nature

Publication at Faculty of Science |
2020

Abstract

The presentation will present the starting points of the planned research into the connection between the regional identity of pupils and their relationship to nature, and therefore to the environment. The research will take place in autumn 2020 at selected primary schools.

Its main goal will be to find an answer to the research question of whether pupils with a higher degree of regional identity show a more positive attitude towards nature and the environment than pupils with less relation to the local landscape. The topic is on the border of ecopsychology, social geography, pedagogy and environmental studies.
