Abstract
In the book, the author deals with the history and presence of Czech historiography. In addition to methodological studies, the book contains texts examining the concept of Jan Slavík's national history, historical memory in the Middle Ages and modern memory in relation to the Holocaust and totalitarian societies.
A separate chapter of the book consists of reflections on the state of Czech historiography and its perspectives.
