Abstract
This paper discusses four topical issues related to the protection of life and health by means of criminal law in the Czech Republic. These issues are: Admissible Risk limits, in other words limits of admissible medical risk as condition excluding illegality of the act.
Furthermore, it is the criminal liability of legal persons providing health services, the issue of criminal lia- bility related to cyclists' participation in traffic crime and finally the problem of post-traumatic stress disorder as a consequence of a crime.
