Abstract
The location data of mobile operators make it possible to monitor commuting links between locations in different time detail. This map focuses on the morning extra-general mobility of the population in Central Bohemia, ie mobility associated mainly with commuting to work and school.
The classic commuter balance indicator showing the change in the population present during the morning is supplemented by the total commuting turnover assessing the total volume of movements. The underlying cartogram represents the burden of the municipality on inter-municipal commuting, ie a kind of self-sufficiency of the municipality in terms of supply and demand for job opportunities, service and school places.
