Abstract
The paper deals with the concepts of custom, usage and business practice. The attributes of custom are general long-term conformity (usus longaevus), conviction of its binding (opinio necessitatis) and certainty.
Furthermore, the paper discusses the usage, its interpretive meaning and the conditions of its normative function. It is followed by a treatise on business practice and its importance in relations between entrepreneurs.
