Abstract
The article focuses on development of forestry in cental parts of the Bohemian Forest and usage of the Vchynicko-tetovský water canal. Also mentiones practical use of the chanel by diverting its waters to supply water for Vydra Water Power Plant.
Fates of technical designers Ing. Josef Rosenauer (the canal) and Ing Karel Kosek (the power plant) are also mentioned.
