Status of compulsory swimming lessons after the update of the Framework Educational Program for Basic Education

Abstract
The Framework Educational Program for Primary School Education was updated three years ago. In terms of compulsory swimming lessons, there has been a fundamental change, thanks to which it has been returned to the primary school education program.
The benefits of updating the program are obvious. In a deeper analysis, however, it is possible to come across a number of problem areas that can significantly affect the success of swimming education for children.
The aim of this paper is to bring information about compulsory swimming lessons as set out in the Framework Educational Program, and to point out the pitfalls of its realization.
