This chapter provides an account of the development of phenomenological philosophy and its application to Kinanthropology. This is characteristic of Czech philosophy of sport, which has made a significant contribution to the international perspective, which is more generally oriented on analytical philosophy.
The chapter introduces various topics that have been addressed primarily by phenomenology (such as temporality, embodiment, understanding) and which have been applied and analysed within Czech sport philosophy, with reference to the views of major phenomenologists.
