Abstract

Qualitative case study research with one unit of analysis uses the method of observation, semi-structured interviews with teachers and the analysis of student portfolios. Segmented data are analyzed and interpreted after qualitative coding.

The intention to examine the level of EtV teaching in the natural environment of teaching implementation verifies the adequacy of teachers' intentions with real teaching by comparing them. The results of qualitative research show a conscious effective approach of teachers in teaching ethics education in a private school.

The ability of pupils to communicate and cooperate developed mainly thanks to the systematic and "lived" approach of teachers. A certain disadvantage of the case study is the size of the sample, where the number of respondents was very low.

Interpretation of data cannot be generalized to the level of Czech education, but can be perceived in a broader context.
