Abstract

Defects in the orbit occur as a result of oncological diseases, injuries and congenital anomalies. The aim of prosthetic reconstruction is a comprehensive functional and aesthetic rehabilitation of the patient in the long term and ensuring an adequate quality of life.

The missing hard and soft tissues in the orbital landscape replace silicone epitheses anchored with titanium implants, adhesives or spectacle frames. Emphasis is placed on the biocompatibility of materials
