In order to become human in a full sense, every human being needs to be exposed to various social interactions including those that express respect to oneself. The goal of the chapter is to show that "respect" and "interaction" are categories that mutually empower, or disempower, each another in creating what is called "human dignity".
Respect is treated, too, as a social category and is influenced also by cultural context. The chapter provides comparative examples of interactions in both Czech and international cultural environment.
Those examples support the main theses of the chapter.
